I've read a lot of aliens romances from all kind and this one is the one i liked less.... it’s not bad written and the plot isn’t bad even if it(s partly quite predictable.... no but i had some trouble getting into the universe.For me it seemed really strange that no one was intrigued about what was happening to the women, that no one would fight against such actions.... i guess that i despite the Asazi. Finn is only part human and he fought that part because he wasn’t able to fit easily in the Asazi world.... i found it sad. But i liked him i mean he does ask question, he does think by himself and it’s courageous.....the way is attempted to make coffee was really funny and he could be utterly protective and tender when caring for Marissa. I liked Kal as well he does care for Finn and tried to help him.
Marissa is a dedicated daughter... she does her best to keep her father’s dream alive when she isn’t aware of what she really wants. What i liked teh most about her was how she didn’t fall for her ex manoeuvre i mean i could even suspect he was being her troubles from the start.
Now what i didn’t like was the lack of asazi’s implication like i explained before and the fact that we don’t get answers either. Finn wonders about what is happening to the women... to n°42 for example since she is reported missing. Kal tell him that she was send back home and he just accept that... yes he tries to check later but on another woman so even if Kal was sincere perhaps he was not aware of something bad because hey she is still missing, nobody is worried about this detail? Also, Finn isn’t telling anyone about his wings?! Not even his cousin after everything? Especially considering that he want to see him again... too strange
I hate being left with questions like that so i couldn’t enjoy this story properly and while i really would love to know what happened to Kal it’s not a series i think i will continue.. perhaps if book 2 get free i will give it a try but other way i think i will focus on others series for the time being. ( 2,5 stars)

Elle Thorne has a sexsational series, sexy sci fi meet a modern romance. The storyline is addictive,seductive and had me enthralled. The love affair that Finn and Marissa is not your ordinary love story. Finn is part human part asazi fought his feelings only to embrace the one thing he was against, A seductive human female. He was only there to complete a mission and now hearts are involved, the heart wants what it wants. Marissa only wanted to preserve a dream but it is taken and she is left with only a few options and none are satisfying. A handsome stranger has her swooning but she has been burned by womanizing latharios. Can she take a chance with him, especially when the magnetism is fierce. The story has so much that it literally has you wanting more. The characters development is outstanding gave the book 5 stars because I love reading fantastic sci fi romance. Elle Thorne, can't wait for books 2 and 3.
I am so glad that I read these books before I read some of the customer reviews shown but the books had already been out a couple of years before I discovered them.Although you could read each book by itself because they all in end in a happy for now in some,its so they can set up the next book.This is the first book and Finn who is Asazi from the planet Cormia is a military person who is sent by his scientist with others to kidnap some earth women to impregnate them for the evil Suarz who was banished from earth thousands of years ago and he was a dragon shifter and he and all his people were banished so he as a god tells the Asasi scientist that they need earth women to create his mate.Finn is to get target 41 who is Marissa our heroine.Marissa has a resturant that she is losing due to lack of business.She is initially distrustful of Finn but she warms to him,He then feels he has to tell her the truth,at first disbeliving but after he shows her his shift she believes,they have their ups and downs however they finally get together and settle in Arizona where the Asazi have a secret base underground to travel from one world to the other.His cousin before he returns to Cormia tells Finn that he will cover for him but to make sure that Marissa does not get pregnant as it could kill her,however Finn does not tell Marissa this and they go to stay happily in Arizona,now remember this books basically sets up for what is going to happen in the following books so it is a little bit slower than the rest but it is still good on its own but after you read the other books then you realize how much this book has set you up for the other stories,so this is the slowest book,but you really want to read it first because the next books become really good.I have recommended this to my friends and they also agree that while the first book has some really good parts what makes it so worth reading is it sets you up for the rest of the stories. This is a book and a series I will read again,I have posted reviews for the other 3 books so far,there are 2 more to come,but those reviews are listed under the titles of the books.
Fun and hot. What more needs to be said? Probably nothing, but I'll add great world building and a mix of sweet moments—when Finn makes love for the first time—and tension-filled moments as Finn and Marissa escape from the Asizi who want to abduct her.
I rarely read sci fi, but this story drew me in. So well done that the emotional connection was very real.
Just to note, this is the first in a series (and I want more!), but it doesn't leave you hanging— a very satisfying happy-for-now ending.
